A thought-provoking and touching story of the bond between children and nature, from renowned storyteller and award-winning author Gill Lewis.

Izzy and Asha need a space to call their own, away from difficult families, the Skull brothers and the trouble they bring. But the derelict building site where they stake their claim already belongs to something else, a wilderness they never expected and an injured wolf that desperately needs their help. Can they reconnect to the wild and save the wolf? Or is their pack too weak to fight much stronger powers? A stunning tale of our lost connection to nature and the wild that hides in us all, from renowned storyteller Gill Lewis. Particularly suitable for struggling, reluctant or dyslexic readers aged 8+.

I thought it was an ok book. I liked what it was about but didn’t admire the ending. I liked how it was about a group of teenagers how found a wolf and really cared about it. I liked Izzy the main character how she was feeding and looking after the wolf. I love books about animals so that’s why I choose this one. If someone likes adventure and nature I would recommend it for you.

Yes I would definitely recommend it. It took me into a world where I could imagine myself as one of the characters which I could kinda relate too. I love the book because I can imagine if bit of it, I imagine the old abandoned gasworks as the abandoned building in my estate and the in the book it describes the wolf’s golden eyes. I can just see it in my head the golden eyes looking into mine, it’s an amazing book I recommend it to children aged 6-12 because of the wording, because younger children might not understand but I think adults and children would adore this book:)))

I liked it when the wolf returned to the wild because he was free again. I didn't like it when he was captured. My favourite character from the book was Jakub. I would recommend the book to my friends.

I thought it was an emotional book because there was happiness, sadness, worry and joy. i liked the character of the wolf because he was found in the abandoned gas works. Some children helped to make it better by taking the glass out of it's paw. The children kept feeding it after they'd practised their skateboarding tricks. It was sad when the wolf was taken away, but it was looked after then released into the wildlife park which was the old gas works. I would recommend it to other people.

This book is honestly the best book I've ever read. This book is fiction and made me have loads of different thoughts and feelings. Run Wild is about a girl who loves to skateboard and finds a wounded wolf in a wasteland. This really made me think about wolves and what a brilliant creature they are!

I would recommend this book because it was easy to read. The story was about these children who found a wolf in a gas works and found the wolf a new home.
