An exploration of and adventure in animal poo – discover unusual facts and be amazed!

A fascinating insight into the world of animal poo – with ""strange but poo"" facts, from the smelliest, biggest, smallest, and most expensive poo to poo camouflage and keeping warm, discover all there is to know about animal poop and its uses. Photos combine with the tongue-in cheek humour of Tony De Saulles’ illustrations and Paul’s Mason’s raucous text to enliven even the most reluctant reader.

A great book for satisfying the curiosity of 7 to 9 years olds while learning science at the same time!

This is a non-fiction book, and gave us information about animal poo! I learnt that gorillas throw their poo at predators to scare them off. Dung beetles lay their eggs in the middle of the dung and bury it under ground. When the eggs hatch the baby dung beetles eat the dung and crawl out. It's rare to find Sperm Whale poo and a boy found some on the beach. Sperm whale poo is used to make perfume! Poo goes round in a cycle when animals and birds eat something then digest it and poo it out, sometimes it grows into a plants that they can eat again. Some animals eat their own poo. Rhinos eat adult poo. I liked this book because it was smelly! And I learnt lots of things about poo!
