What has mummies and monsters, bogey babysitters and demon dinner ladies? It can only be a Horrid Henry Halloween story collection!

This is a book of wicked plans. My favourite character is Henry because he thinks of all the cunning plans.

It could have been a bit more exciting. Horrid Henry was my favourite character because he is the main character and all the action happens to him.

I enjoyed this book. There was this boy called horrid Henry who found a mummy book on a shelf. Peter had won in a museum called meet The mummy challenge. Henry was not allowed to go in Peter’s bedroom without permission Mum forbidden horrid Henry to play with Peter’s toys. I liked Peter because he is a kind person and horrid Henry was a bad person. I will recommend this book to my friends because they like horrid Henry.

My favourite story in this book was "Horrid Henry ghosts and ghouls, "and it was silly. This story is about Henry begging his parents to make him a packed lunch but when he finally gets one a dinner lady moves in. She snatches every sweet and treat and says that it is good for them. Henry tries everything to get rid of the dinner lady and in the end he succeeds. Because this book is fictional, my favourite character was Margaret as she was a girl and very good like me. I would recommend this book to others so they can feel the funny feeling too.

It was not real. On the first chapter, the funny bit was when Peter asked their Mummy if she was a mummy and she said she was. She thought Peter was asking her if she was a Mum. There are no Egyptian Gods called Borus or Morus and Stegosaurus is a dinosaur. Henry wrapped a toilet roll all over poor Peter from head to toe. Henry opened Peter’s Mummy Kit and saw the gross organs of a person. Henry loved pack lunches with no vegetables. Then he saw the Demon Diner Lady and he decided to trick her. The next day, Henry brought chili powder biscuits and when the diner lady ate it, she turned purple, then pink, then bright red. Henry hates babysitters, especially Rabid Rebecca. But sadly, it was Rabid Rebecca who came to babysit them. She was very mean and ugly. She’d made Tough Toby get in his pajamas at five o’clock and do all his homework. She’d unplugged Dizzy Dave’s computer. She’d made Moody Margaret wash the floor. She was like she ate elephants for breakfast, crocodiles for lunch and toddlers for tea. Henry turned on the TV and watched Mutant Max, Rebecca grabbed the clicker from him. No way is Henry going to bear this. At seven o’clock, Henry had to go to bed. He was dying with thirst so he crept down stairs and saw Rebecca pointing at a spider. Henry took it away and put it in a jar and told Rebecca to stay in a room until his parents come home so she did. Henry turned on the TV and ate all the junk food he liked. Horrid Henry was very horrid, but clever too. I liked this book and I will recommend it to someone else.
