From the winner of the Blue Peter Best Story Book Award, the third instalment of Podkin's epic battle against the Gorm. The bard looks up at the three figures. They have black hooded cloaks and long robes. From the holes in their masks, three pairs of eyes watch him: cold, calm, emotionless.'Yes,' says the bard. 'They're bonedancers. You don't need to sound quite so excited, though. They have come to kill me.' And so it is that the bard and and his young apprentice Rue are taken to Spinestone, the temple warren of the bonedancers. It is here that the bard is ordered to retell the tale that has got him in so much trouble . . . and so to the next instalment in the astonishing tale of Podkin One-Ear . . . Podkin, Paz and Pook once again find their home under threat, but this time they are ready to fight! Podkin and the others leave for Sparrowfast to ask their uncle for the use of his magic bow. It's the one weapon that could save them all. But as they flee into the forest depths, it seems they have been betrayed . . . 'It's jolly good fun . . . expect sequels to breed like . . . well, rabbits.' SFX on The Legend of Podkin One-Ear 'Kieran Larwood's talent and his passion for his wonderful characters leap off every page.' David Long, author of Survivors 'One of the best books I have ever read.' Cally Evans, age 10, Lovereading4kids

Another great installment in the podkin one ear series. With the addition of some new characters, it builds on the story even more recommended those seeking thrills along the way.

I really enjoyed this book and at first, I borrowed the book only because the cover looked funny and the book is about rabbits ruling the world and the adventures of Podkin, Pook and Paz. I really want to read the rest of the series and I realised I have read the third book first.

While the world of this book is hard to ease into at first, with its far fetched concepts and completely different world, it is very enjoyable once you get into it. The only problem I had with the book is the middleman being Pook telling the story to the bone dancers to save his life - it was completely unnecessary, and gave some uncomfortable pauses in the story.

I like it because it's about rabbits and fighting. My favourite character is Pook because he saves Sythica and she goes on to become the leader of the Bone Dancers

A dazzling adventure of good vs evil , I would recommend. It’s also a good standalone. But I would definitely recommend you to read the series.

I would recommend this to anybody who likes adventure books. I thought it was a really great book, but closer to the end I got a little bit bored of it, that’s why I only gave it a rating of 3.

The Beasts of Grimheart is a little bit different to the other books because Podkin, Paz, Pook and their friends defeat their enemy the Gorm but isn’t always celebrating.

Full of adventure that will submerge you, right up to your twitching ears (That is, if you are a rabbit.) Full of warriors, nature and rabbits, this book is one you will be reading beneath the covers with a torch! (I did anyway)

The Beasts of Grimheart is the third book in a series of books, with Podkin One-Ear and The Gift of Dark Hollow. It starts when Podkin, Paz, Crom and other members of the war council set off to Sparrowfast warren to get Soulshot, a magic bow to use to fire special arrows at the Gorm killers. Will they defeat the Gorm? It was an exciting book with unpredictable events. I would recommend this book to people who like adventure books.

My favourite person in this book is Mo grim, she is the “beast of grimheart forest” and she helps Podkin on his big battle to defeat skramashank the gorm lord. In Podkins army there are 9 “beasts”,3 packs of wolves(60 altogether),the whole of silverrock and sparrowfast warrens,6 dark hollow soldiers,49 rabbits escaped from warrens that have been taken over by gorm, Crom(a blind soldier from boneroot) , Bridget a kind witch-rabbit, podkins mother, older sister and younger brother Paz and Pook, a bard called Yarrow and 36 bone dancers.
