It was a made up book about a boy who went missing. The family was poor and their dad was in prison for something he said he didn't do The boy's older brother took him to the park and saw him talking into the bushes, he tried to call him back but fell and hit his head instead. When he woke up, his brother was gone and no one could find him. The boy's brother can't remember anything so he can't help much. His mum's best friend and her boyfriend always come over to comfort her and help with the search. Bit by bit, the older brother's memory starts coming back but no one believes him since he lies so much. However, he teams up with one of his brand new neighbors and finds out that it was his mum's best friend and her boyfriend that were holding him captive because of their dad in prison. Their dad had been working with them and then realised that the job he was doing for them was illegal. When they got caught, they just blamed it on the dad and so he went to prison. However, before he went, he hid a large sum of money somewhere. That is why they were holding the younger brother captive, to make sure that the dad told them where the money was. The book was really good and mysterious which meant i kept wanting to read it. My favourite character was the neighbor because she was different to everybody else.

Ed Clayton is a liar. It started when his dad went to prison and now he can’t seem to stop. When his younger brother, Sam, goes missing one day, nobody believes Ed when he says he can’t remember what happened. He’s used to going without, but living without his brother is impossible. With the police and press asking questions and friends turning against the family, Ed is left trying to find Sam with only the help of his new neighbour, Fallon. When the two stumble on a secret that even Ed could never have imagined, it’s up to the liar to uncover the truth

This book was quite good. It didn’t really explain all of the characters at the start...... but, it was still good.
