Enid Blyton is arguably the most famous children’s author of all time, thanks to series such as The Wishing-Chair, The Faraway Tree, The Mysteries, The Famous Five and The Secret Seven. Her fantasy books, including The Adventures of the Wishing-Chair, are among her most popular creations and they promise to enchant boys and girls for generations to come.

Enid Blyton takes her place alongside Roald Dahl, Beatrix Potter, and A. A. Milne as one of Britain’s true heritage children’s authors.

‘Her books were terrific page-turners in the way no others were’ – Michael Morpurgo, author of War Horse.

This book is about a family with three children called Mike, Belinda and Ann, which live in two caravans with their mother and father. They are invited to have tea on a giant ship called The Queen Elizabeth, and somehow they ended up sailing on it to America! One of my favourite chapters was "It can't be true" because that's when they discovered the good surprise.

i would absolutely recommend this to someone else it is absolutely fantastic i loved this book with its constant change of scenery i think my favourite characters would probably be Michael Ann and Belinda the three children Michael and Belinda because they had no fear and were so enthusiastic about everything. i also loved Ann because she would worry about things that id probably worry but was always up for some fun.
