Between Tick and Tock
Louise Greig, Ashling Lindsay
The second magical picture book from the author and illustrator of The Night Box.
High above the bustle of the city, are eyes that watch, and hands that know,
it’s time to pause the clock …
and for one tiny second between tick and tock, the city stops!
Reviews
Didn't like this book. Like interpretive dance in words.

This was a wonderfully written book about the little girl who had the ability to pause time. The illustrations added to the intrigue. Wonderful use of language including personification which I was able to introduce to my Year 2 children through this book. The use of vocabulary was great as a topic for discussion with my class as they discussed what the author wanted to portray in the writing. I would definitely recommend this book to others - truly wonderful!

Liesel stopped the clock between tick and tick. She helped people and animals in the city. Liesel is a very kind girl. I wish she was my friend! Then Liesel went home and started the clock up again. I loved this story.
