Not very well written but didn't matter in this case because I was there for the facts, not the story. Would recommend!!

This book is about four brilliant black female mathematicians who worked at NASA and made aeroplanes more faster and safer. Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson and Christine Darden became engineers with perseverance and hard-work. They inspired me to want to become an engineer too.

I love how it is non- fiction and it show that black women are just the same as anyone else and can do anything

Have you heard of Dorothy Vaughan, Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson or Christine Darden? If you haven't, then this is the book for you! Learn about their journeys in mathematics contributing to the space race. It has fun images that make the facts seem fun. I would recommend it to 9-12 year old children.

I really liked this book as it was all about the Black women who helped NASA launched into space. I was shocked when I learnt that they worked as computers before computers were invented. I also love maths and so did these inspiring women.

Really good because it helped people. Black people can work with white people, it doesn’t matter whatever skin they have.

This book interested me because I never knew that black women could help astronauts reach space. My favourite part was where a woman kept on asking her boss if she could join the meetings, it was was surprising because she was the only BLACK WOMAN in the whole room.I would recommend this book to people who want to learn about space as it has lots of facts about space inside the book.

I enjoyed the bit when the ladies used their clever maths to launch the first manned rocket to the moon! And I also liked that they never gave up, they persevered and I think that was really good.

I enjoyed this book, it is based on real women scientist who all made a space mission possible at a time when black peoples achievements were not highlighted nor celebrated.
