This one just didn't sit right with me. Don't get me wrong, I love the writing style, the metaphors, the way Juliette describes how she's feeling is just perfect to me. They are contrasting, they're confusing and they remind me too much of all of my emotions in general, like they can't be described as one thing, but something beautiful, yet something that freezes us from the insides. The writing style is a definite yes for me. My problem is that it literally goes nowhere. I can sum up the book in a few words, as in the rebellion only goes to war within the last 50 or so pages, whereas at least half of the book is Juliette moping over her feelings again and not actually doing something productive. She just sits there, worrying about her relationship with Adam, who I personally have never liked. So we finally get an explanation as to why Adam and Warner can touch Juliette, and the amount of time in this book spent on drama and relationship issues that go nowhere astounds me. Maybe it's just me; I am not a big fan of romance novels, but the action is hard to come by, and when it does, it's often rushed and drops a massive bombshell on us for Juliette to mope about again. Don't get me wrong, I understand how Juliette is feeling, but please, she doesn't need to sit there and not do anything other than beg for Adam, who's just being terrible in this book. I think we definitely see the love triangle between Warner, Adam and Juliette, and surprise surprise, they're brothers. Warner being brought in as a love interest for Juliette? Now that's something that interests me, but his character still sometimes frustrates me as in the fact he basically has polar opposites. I just don't think that this story required so long, and we never get to read any more about the side characters, like Brenden, and Winston, who seemingly just get tossed aside until who knows when. I think the thing that bugs me the most though, is how Juliette's character doesn't actually really go anywhere, more like she's going backwards. Yes, she's more angry, but now that she's been given the chance, she never actually takes it, so all we do is focus on Juliette and her feelings and I'm really glad that Kenji exists in this novel because he really gave her the kick she needed. Overall, I just didn't really enjoy this one as much as I hoped I would, but I will continue the series, mainly to stick around to see how Warner and Juliette's relationship will go.

I loved this book because it is in the shatter me series and after the shatter me book I knew I had to read more. I've also just ordered the rest of the series. I live Juliette the most in the story because she is unique and stands up for what is right. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else Jo matter what they are interested in because I thought I wouldn't like it but when I started it I knew I would love this book.

So much happened in this book! Too much to take in! Now I don’t know whether Warner should be with Juliet or Adam,it’s a competition,i’m gonna be reading the rest of the series to find out
