Twelve-year-old refugee Reema and her Glaswegian neighbour Caylin form a unlikely friendship when they discover an injured fox. A beautiful, lyrical story of displacement and belonging from a powerful new voice in children’s fiction.

So realistic it was like I was watching a movie. Reminded me of Fire Girl and Forest Boy

I personally think that this book is a really good novel because it’s told by the perspective of two people: a bully and a refugee. Caylin is a bully while is hated by her surroundings. When she comes across the refugee, she slowly gets to know her and create a relationship with her. Reema is a refugee who has escaped from a war in Syria but had to leave her brother behind. She can only speak Arabic but she then creates a bond with Caylin. This book is very heart-touching and I love how it’s written. I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading this type of books.

This is an AMAZING book! I don't want this to be a spoiler but I can tell you some things: Reema has come from Syria because of the war and Caylin has lisp.

This book is fascinating. It made me look at the world with a completely different eye. Heartfelt and full of hope, The Fox Girl and the White Gazelle is an uplifting story about the power of friendship and belonging. ... When they discover an injured fox and her cubs hiding on their estate, the girls form a wary friendship. And they are more alike than they could have imagined: they both love to run. I would recommend this book to slightly older children(10+) as for it is quite emotional and in order to follow the story you have to piece it all together. It is a fascinating tale which you should definitely read.

i really liked this book. it makes you want to find more about the story. i would recommend it to anyone above 7 because it might upset small kids when 2 foxes die. but at the end the story is happier

the book was not a true story. I liked Reema and Caylin because they were the main characters. Also I couldn't pick one because they are best friends! it interested me because once you read some pages you wanted to find out what was going to happen next! I would recommend it to people who like books that are serious and have no pictures

I really enjoyed this book because I learnt some new words. The story was quite complicated, but I did enjoy it. It was a fiction book and I liked Caylin (Fox Girl) the best. I would recommend it to other people.
