This is the first book in the Johnny Maxwell trilogy. Johnny Maxwell is just an ordinary boy – not smart, popular or rich. But he does love video games. And as his parents argue themselves out of a marriage, Johnny plays at becoming humanity’s last hope, shooting invading aliens out of a pixelated sky.

I found this book more difficult to get into compared to the other books I have read this summer.

This book is about a boy who saved an entire alien fleet via a video game that turns out to be real life.

My favourite character is Johnny and I love that it is about space.

Good comedy and great words! This book I would recommend for people who love stories that are out of this world, literally! I would as well recommend this for people who love games!

I liked the aliens because they were funny. I like that its set in a dream world...well most of it anyway.

I really liked this book; it was really enjoyable. I would love to read more Johnny Maxwell books, but they sound scary!

The book is based on a boy named Johnny Maxwell who like any other boy loves video games. While playing one of the games his friend lend to him he sees something strange. The aliens he was attacking just disappeared and there were just blank stars. It was gone! But then Johnny encounters a visit from a real life alien who is the captain of the Screewee aliens. Now they depend on Johnny, Only he can save mankind. The main characters were Johnny, the captain and Johnny's friends. Although the book was written with a lot of humour, I didn't like it at all. The humour was funny but the book was boring. The characters I liked were Johnny and his friends as their conversations were very funny. I would like to recommend this book to everyone who loves alien stories and who love video games.

An original idea! ever thought of a story about a dream that you are in a game but it actually is real? the starting can be confusing but later you will like it. oh and if you like aliens and space and fantasy and games or any of them, i'd recommend this book to you(even if you are not really interested in them i still do). the writing could have been better.
