Two unlikely heroes inspire a whole town by fighting to save a tree
Sometimes, in the blink of an eye, you do something that changes your life forever.
Like climbing a tree with a girl you don’t know.
Marnus is tired of feeling invisible, living in the shadow of his two brothers.
His older brother is good at breaking swimming records and girls’ hearts. His younger brother is already a crafty entrepreneur who has tricked him into doing the dishes all summer.
But when a girl called Leila turns up on their doorstep one morning with a petition, it’s the start of an unexpected adventure.
And finally, Marnus gets the chance to be noticed…

I really liked this book. It was funny but emotional at the same time. My favourite character was Leila and I loved the illustrations. I also thought the caretaker was very kind. I would recommend this book to children 10/11+.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I thought I would, although the storyline was good, half of it was up a tree. My favourite person was Leila's mum because she was considerate of others.

I found found this book a bit challenging to read but liked the serious issues and the positive outcomes. I like Leila the best as she wanted to put all of her heart into saving the tree. I would recommend to people who prefer serious books.

My favourite character was Leila. I liked Marnus, Uncle John and Mrs Merriman and how they came together and looked out for each other. The students were a bit of a cliche though.

I really enjoyed this book as it was not only fun but gave us a good message. My favourite character is Mrs Merriman because she offers to stay and help Marnus and Leila. Also, she has a quirky, fun personality that makes the story more interesting. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a short, intriguing story!

I liked this book because the author writes his books really carefully and makes it sound as if it could have actually happened. This book is about a boy who has two brothers that boss him around. When he meets a girl it all changes and he learns that it's good to be noticed. I recommend this book to people who like sad but happy tales.
