The Peculiars are a band of misfits trapped in a Victorian sideshow. There’s Wolfgirl, Sheba; Sister Moon, who can move at the speed of light; and Monkeyboy, ace climber and human stink bomb. But during the day, in a world of childsnatchers, grave robbers and darstardly doctors, they solve mysteries no one else cares about - including why London’s poorest children are being snatched from the banks of the Thames...

I thought this book was quite good and very fast paced. The character I licked most was gigantus because he was very tall and strong. I would recommend it to somebody else as it is a very good book.

This book is all about history, mystery and adventure. My favourite character is Sheeba as she leads the rest of her friends really well. When Monkeyboy and Sheeba's friend Till goes missing they have to find who took her. Will they find Till in time before she is killed?

Fans of the Greatest Showman will love this book set in Victorian London. Sheba the Wolfgirl lives with a bunch of Peculiars and works for a greedy freak show owner. One day a girl goes missing from the banks of the river Thames and Sheba and her band of misfits become the most unusual crime fighters ever.
