It interested me because I quite like history books especially Jacqueline Wilson history books. I would recommend it to 9-12 year olds and it’s very interesting because it includes characters from clover moon which I just read and hetty feather which I had also just read so all of the stories met in the middle. It is about rose rivers who is 13 years old, her twin brother who is also 13 but is treated like he’s 18, her little brother algie who is VERY annoying, her little sister clary who is only 6, her sister Beth, nurse bud, her dad/ papa who is an artist and her mum / mama who is a stay at home mum with a little puppy. So overall I rate this 4/5 because although it’s good it’s not the best book I’ve ever read

I love this book. It is set in the Victorian era and describes what life was like for a rich Victorian child. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to research the Victorian era and just loves reading. I genuinely love books and I know Jacqueline Wilson book lovers will too.

This was a tale set in the victorian era and was quite sad although it did have a couple of unexpected twists at the end that i cant say or it would spoil it. My favourite character was Rose as i enjoy her pesonality but i did like clover moon almost as much because of her attertude to life.

I thought the book as like a roller-coaster because my emotions went up and down at different chapters. My favorite bit was when Clover joint and convinced the younger ones that she was a witch and my least favorite bit was when Pamela was cheated by Rupert. I would like Clovers part best. Because clover at least enjoys what she's doing unlike the other parts. Yes if they like small parts with romance in.

this is a really good book; the fantastic literature balances out the fact that its set in the Victorian times and you dont understand some of it.

It’s really cool because it lets you know what it was like to be a rich Victorian child. I liked Rose Rivers as she wouldn’t stop being friends with the servants even thought she wasn’t allowed to be. I would recommend this to anyone who likes drama.

I learnt alot of the Victorian era and the industrial revolution. But i have also learnt about the grim part of the Victorian era and the hierachy of rich and poor.

I thought this book was quite old-fashioned but still good. If you read Hetty Feather you will fall in love with this book
