A classic children’s book from one of best-loved Bill’s New Frock authors, former Children’s Laureate Anne Fine. Perfect for readers aged between 7 and 9 and fans of Awful Auntie and Pamela Butchart’s Wigglesbottom Primary series.

Until the angel came, Penny, Mark and Marigold were bitterly unhappy. ‘Fat.’ ‘Freak.’ ‘Smelly.’ Barry Hunter was bullying them and everyone at Nitshill Road School knew it. But the angel brings a clever solution. Life at school is going to be very different from now on. Anne Fine’s fun school stories have been delighting children for more than 20 years, winning her awards such as the Smarties Book Award and Carnegie Medal along the way.

This book was not so much of an adventure, so I only give it three stars. It was fiction and my favourite character was Celeste.

This is a fiction book and it is a very nice fiction book. There is a meanie called Barry Hunter. He bullies Penny, Mark and Marigold. Penny is a very nice girl. Mark is a nice boy with thick bottled glasses. Finally, Marigold she’s a nice girl, but she never talks. When Barry Hunter bullies her her friends help her. But she never says thank you or anything. I would recommend this to a friend or anybody else. It is by Anne Fine.

It was the best book! My favourite character was the Angel, Celeste. I liked that the angel wasn't nervous when she started her new school, that was cool.
