This series is definitely Lauren Child's best yet! The characters are well thought-through and Lauren Child's style that I loved when I was younger in the Charlie and Lola books is still there. She is hilarious still, but the deeper plot is still there - all the fishy sea goings-on, and how they all eventually added up to the sibling islands and the lost treasure of Martha is well-thought-through! I love how everything adds up in the end, and, of course, Ruby and Clancy's banter relationship. This book is worth recommending to ANYONE, young and old, that likes Lauren Child as much as I do!

I thought this one was very imaginative, because of the Sea Whisperer, but, as always, my favourite character was Clancy Crew, because he was very funny.
