This book is about a puppy called Holly and her owner Joe Price wants to have the puppies vaccinated at animal magic rescue centre so that they could go to new families. The puppies are called Holly, Ben, Bill and Ivy. After Holly is rehomed, she becomes unwell and Todd, the son of her owners, takes her back to Animal Magic Rescue Centre and leaves her on the doorstep. Eva, the daughter of the person who owns Animal Magic Rescue Centre, sees her on the doorstep and takes her inside. They make her better and Eva sleeps in a sleeping bag on the floor next to Holly to keep her company. Holly starts barking and wakes Eva so she sees Todd running away. She wakes up her family and decides to go off with her older brother Karl and they follow Todd's footprints to his house. When they reach his house they knock on the door and his mum and aunt step out and say he is in his bed, but he is not there. They followed the trail of snowy boots to the cupboard under the stairs and see Todd sitting there. Todd explains that he had taken Holly to the centre to make her better and they go to the centre to see. Holly has kennel cough which is very infectious so their other dog Lulu is back at home, so they bring her to the centre and they treat them both and they decide to let Eva keep Holly and Lulu. It was a fiction book. My favourite character was Holly because she was very friendly. I enjoyed the book as it was very exciting and interesting to read. I would recommend it to other people who like animal stories.

I really enjoyed this book. It was about a girl called Eva who lived with her brother, mum and dad at animal magic rescue centre. When some pups get their injections she fell in love with one called Holly. When Holly's new owner came to collect her from the pup's mother's owner's farm she took a Great Dane called Lulu who had kennel cough. Holly got kennel cough, too. One of the new owners- who was a kid- snuck Holly to animal magic and abandoned her on their doorstep. I would recommend this book to people that love animals.
