The Lost Magician
Piers Torday
‘If you can imagine it, it exists … somewhere.’ A spellbinding adventure from the bestselling, award-winning author of The Last Wild trilogy.
1945. They have survived the Blitz, but when Simon, Patricia, Evelyn and Larry step through a mysterious library door, it is the beginning of their most dangerous adventure yet. They discover the magical world of Folio, where an enchanted kingdom of fairy knights, bears and tree gods is under threat from a sinister robot army.
The many stories of the Library are locked in eternal war, and the children’s only hope is to find their creator – a magician who has been lost for centuries.
What they find will change not just their own lives, but the fate of the world, for ever …
An ode to the world of Narnia, The Lost Magician is a classic in the making from one of the UK’s most talented children’s authors.

King Ice-T Bubble-wrap 27.08.2022
I definitely recommend this book to 9-13 age groups. Evie was my fav character and I loved the bit where Larry remembered what he did before he came to Barfield. it was that, he was writing a story about a unicorn and never had the time to finish it. that part was so WOW! to me. I loved this book and give it a ten out of ten. At parts I thought the professor was the magician!

The lost magician is a great book and I thought it had a lot of mysterys and the part when they discovered the missing library was very exciting. It was a great book and it actually makes you think about if there really was another world like the unreads with amazing technology and people created robots and flying cars. There were villians and betrayel and war. but that doesn’t matter when the nevereads were risingto destoy the unreads and reads world. My favourite character was Evie as she is protective of her little brother but is on the other side the unreads side. I would recommend this book to my friends from my class in school.

This is a great book! It's all about four children and this is set after WWII (World War 2). They are sent away to a person named Proffessor Kelly because their house has been damaged by all the bombing. The parents are trying to find another house. But when the youngest child enters the top floor, the childrens' lives are about to change forever.

This thrilling book captures the lives of children living in the war perfectly. When they find a magic library in the house that they have been evacuated too, the adventure that they take on makes the war look simple.

this book was really really good. Its about Evelyn,Patrick, Simon and Larry who find them selves in a world of imagination. It is very gripping and I loved it. One thing though at first it was a bit too similar to The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, otherwise I really loved this book.

I liked this book because it was all about a war between the fairy-tale character from different books. My favourite part was when the children went to the three bears houses to eat.
