This book is about a maid who has a job in a grand house and is accidentally made into a detective when a jade necklace is stolen. This is a story based in the Victorian times. The person I liked the most is Jane Pinny because she is the main character and also she funny an seeks adventure. I would recommend this boo to anyone who is interested in reading about the Victorian times and likes a detective story.

I liked plump the talking fat pigeon (but that was supposed to be a secret)and I liked Jane Pinny because she is clumsy like me. My favourite part was when plump told Jane to write a diary.

I liked this book because it is adventure. My favourite character was Jane Pinny because in the book a jade necklace goes missing and she discovers who took it. I also like this book because there is very fat pigeon called Plump whom Jane can talk too. This is the first book I have read in this series but I would now like to read the others.
