Tilly is going to stay with her gran and great-gran in Wales. She’s got a big school project about the Second World War to do and Gran, who was evacuated herself during the war, has promised to help. Travelling on the train for the first time alone, Tilly falls asleep and wakes up to discover she’s travelled all the way back to World War II. She’s being evacuated to Wales with her two younger brothers. Stern Mr Edwards offers to give them a home on his remote farm, where she meets a very special sheepdog.

I love this book I think Tarran is the same dog at the end I’m not sure whether this ending is what I expected I would recommend this book to everybody who loves dogs

This book is very interesting as it has so many different characters in it, some sad and happy parts in this book. It is a story book based around ww2. My favourite person in the book is Tilly she is the main character.

It was one of the best fiction books I have read,I loved the dog named Tarran because he was so cute and trough out the story he helped his owner.It was not really factual but i was interested because it was talking about the time world war two started and the young kids had to live with host families away from their own,i would strongly recommend this book to everyone

This book was a historical whirlwind of an adventure. From present day to WW2 this book will have your attention from the first page onwards.

It was fiction and I liked Tarran the dog best. I found it a bit confusing because she was in one place and suddenly she was in another. But I really liked the storyline.
