Nine-year-old Harry is desperate for a pet of his own but working at the local animal rescue centre is the next best thing. One day, he’s asked to take a very special birthday present to Chartwell, home of the famous Prime-Minister and animal-lover Winston Churchill. During his visit, Harry learns all about Winston’s past and his much-loved pets. Will Harry get to meet Winston Churchill and will he ever get a pet of his very own?

It was good, but there wasn't much about Winston Churchill in it as the title would suggest.

I liked this book because the marmalade cat got saved from being stuck in mud in a pipe.

This book informed me of Winston Churchill's life during the war as well as adding a twist of fiction in the mix as well. Harry rescues a marmalade kitten. When he takes it to the rescue centre, he is allowed to keep it, but when he gets home his dad says no. Soon after Winston Churchill puts in a request for a marmalade kitten. Harry has to deliver it. Will he ever see the kitten again? I recommend this book to 7 to 12 year old children.

This is a great book and even though I am a bit older than the age recommendation, I still felt it was an enjoyable read. A very calm and innocent book that is definitely worth a try.

This book was really good, I liked learning about the rspca centre and how naughty Little Houdini the cat was.

Most of all Sir Winston Churchill wants a marmalade cat for his birthday- but there are none to be found. Until Harry finds one hidden in a pipe and takes him back to the RSPCA the animal shelter he volunteers at. He is such an escape perfectionist that Harry calls him Little Houdini. Harry soon heads to Chartwell the home of Sir Winston Churchill with little Houdini. can he safely deliver little Houdini to Winston and get a pet of his own

I liked Harry the best because he was confident and helped little Houdini when he was stuck in the muddy pipe. I would recommend it to someone who likes animals a lot. I also liked little Houdini because he was adventurous .

I thought the book was really good. I had a really nice time reading it. At first I wasn’t that fussed on the book but as I kept reading I started to love it. I loved Harry the most because he was the one who rescued the cat in the start of the book and without him there wouldn’t be a story. Yes I would recommend it to someone else because it was such a good book and I loved it.

This tells me a lot about history but not in sir Wistion's eyes but from the eyes of Jock his cat.

Really touching story about Harry a boy who loves working at the RSPCA local animal centre, and a kitten named Little Houdini who is in need of a home and love. Henry rescues a kitten named Little Houndini,he wants to take the little feral kitten home but his dad doesn't like the idea of that. When Harry then learns that the kitten is going to be the president Winston Churchill's eighty eighth birthday present. Harry doesn't want this.

When Harry finds a little cat in the gutter he takes it to the animal home but he is very attached to the cat. he names the cat little Houdini because of the clever tricks it can do. But will he be able to keep it... recommended for animal lovers.
