This story is about a little girl named Property Jones, so-called
because she was left in the lost property cupboard of a bookshop
when she was five years old. Property loves living in the bookshop,
but she has a whopper of a secret … she can’t actually read!
So Property doesn’t see the newspaper article announcing the chance
to win the Montgomery Book Emporium, the biggest and most magnificent
bookshop in the world! When her family win the competition,
Property finds herself moving to the Emporium, a magical place
filled with floor upon floor of books and a very bad-tempered
cat. But all is not at it seems at the Emporium and soon Property
Jones finds herself in a whole heap of trouble.

The best book I've ever read really, it's full of adventure, mystery, chills and emotion. There's a dull but creepy man called Eliot Pink who might scare young children but really he's just annoying. This book i recommend to 7-13. Enjoy.

This book is like reading about me as it’s all about books. My favourite character is Michael because he knows a lot about words and what they mean.

It’s all about this girl called Property Jones who moves bookshop because she wins a prize, which is another bookshop, in a competition. The person who owns that bookshop can’t pay for this script that is a fake. The script is of a Shakespeare play. They discover it is a fake.

I liked when they win the big bookshop in a raffle and Elliott Pink gave them a book about Shakespeare that was lots of money. It was fake and if they couldn't pay for it, they would have to give him everything they had. Property Jones saves the day!

I think it is a very good book, especially for people who like reading. I also like how its gently stretching the line between reality and fantasy, the settings in the book are very good at making you feel like you are experiencing them for real. I would recommend it to pretty much anyone.
