Frank doesn’t know how to feel when Nick Underbridge rescues her from bullies one afternoon. No one likes Nick. He’s big, he’s weird and he smells – or so everyone in Frank’s class thinks.
And yet, there’s something nice about Nick’s house. There’s strange music playing there, and it feels light and good and makes Frank feel happy for the first time in forever.
But there’s more to Nick, and to his house, than meets the eye, and soon Frank realises she isn’t the only one keeping secrets. Or the only one who needs help …
A poignant, darkly comic and deeply moving story about the power of the extraordinary, and finding friendship where you least expect it. Written by the author of the critically acclaimed The Imaginary and illustrated by award-winning illustrator Levi Pinfold, this is perfect for fans of Roald Dahl and Neil Gaiman.

In this marvellous tale two worlds intertwined and I think it was lovely the way trolls and humans became friends.

I love this book when I read it brought a smile to my face. It was amazing how someone who doesn't like some is now a friend. And after all, Nick wasn't a bad person he just had secrets that were so fascinating. It was fiction and my favourite person is Frank because she is just so similar to me. It was factual it interest me because it had monsters and like another world which you can only hear music from was there on earth.I would definalty recomded

The song from somewhere else was a magnificent book which kept me awake for the whole night! (Or part of it anyway!) My fave character was Quintilius Minimus.

This book truly head over heels fascinated me! The language used, how they describe the girls thoughts in her head, is purely amazing! At first I wasn’t too keen on this book, but the descripton, the story and the characters made me fall in love with this book! I highly reccomend this book to anyone and everyone!

It was scary because it had things that wouldn’t be in a normal story about a child. I would recommend for ages 13+.

This is an amazing book, full of friendship, magic, advennture, emotions, but most importantly, a boy called Nick, a girl called Frank, and a song from somewhere else. An entrancing read, that allows you to feel exactly what Frank and Nick are feeling. I loved it.
