In this retelling of the film, Zach has just moved from NYC to a creepy small town. He quickly becomes convinced his new neighbour, Hannah, is in danger. But when tries to rescue her, he accidentally unleashes the monsters created and brought to life by her writer father, R.L. Stine!

I think it was very thrilling as it brought all of R. L Stine's creations to life. My four favourite characters were Slappy the dummy, Hannah and Champ, and R. L Stine.

I would recommend this book to children my age. My favourite character was Stine, it wasn’t too creepy a story either.

This book was just like the movie, very good. It had dispense and it was just like the other books I read. This one was different though because it had real monsters I also liked how the pages went dark when slappy was around. I would definitely recommend this book for readers like me

It was quite scary. It had all the goosebump monsters! My favourite monster was the giant praying mantis.

This was very good. I love the movie also. I like Slappy the best, he is creepy but funny. This book is very exciting and I would recommend it to any R.L. Stine fans.
