The third adventure in the brand-new 12-book collectible series for young readers from survival expert and Chief Scout BEAR GRYLLS.

Omar is fiercely competitive and very impatient about anything that holds him back. . . especially other people. Activity camp is brilliant because he’s the best at all the challenges, it’s just so annoying that not all his teammates are as quick or brave or strong as he is. It would be much easier just to ditch them and go it alone.

But when he’s given a mysterious compass it transports him to a thick jungle that is impossible to get through quickly – he has to learn to move with the rhythm of the environment around him with the help of his guide, adventurer Bear Grylls. Can his time in the rainforest change his mind about what makes someone successful? And who will he give the compass to next?

Each book in this fun 12-book series from BEAR GRYLLS follows a different child on the outdoor activity camp. Once they are given the magical compass, they meet the inspirational adventurer in an amazing place and learn new skills and facts they can take with them back to their real life.

It was all about Bear Grylls in the jungle. He found a boy called Armer who went with him and crossed a river. They found a caiman who was hungry! They hid in a tree where it couldn’t get them! It was such an exciting story!

I liked how Omar faced his fears in the jungle and had to do grue some things like eating maggots.

It is a good book because it teaches you how to stand up to your fears and how to go on with your life. I especially liked Bear Grylls because it seemed like he was always ready to help the children who came to him. I would like others to read it because some people can't do what this book teaches you to do.

Ok book. I chose to read it because I went to the bear grylls festival.

When in the Jungle, you need to take it slow and steady. Never smile at a Crocodile because it will chase you. Then always remember to have a stick as your third leg because you will need it for swimming. Interesting and great learning from the book about the Jungle.

I liked the book because it’s full of survival stuff and they had to survive in the wild Bear Grylls and a child would, in one I’m reading now, have to eat coconuts. It teaches me that even though polystyrene floats it is still harmful to the environment, and it teaches me how to build a den in the wild. I would recommend it to my friends because it’s an adventure story and I have a feeling my friends like adventure.

I liked it because it was very adventurous, and showed that you don’t always need to be the fastest, sometimes being patient is more important.

It is a very fun book and this author just became my favourite author. My favourite auther used to be Roal Dahl but now it changed when I red this book. I would recommend that everyone reads this book so they know what to do if they are lost in the jungles.

I like this book because it is based in the rainforest and there are two animals that I love in it, a blue temple viper and a big black caiman.

I loved all the information about nature and the tips on living in the jungle. I learnt how long a cayman can hold its breath and the challenges that they do are brilliant.
