This is the third/last book of the Rose Raventhorpe series and as exciting as books 1 and 2. I would highly recommend reading the series.

I thought this was a really good book for me to read as i am now getting into mystery books! My favourite character was Charlie Malone as he was really funny in it and he never gave up even though he still has to fight with his limp leg. I would recommended this to anyone who likes reading mystery books and stuff with a hint of magic.

It is a very good book, i would recommend it to 9-13 yr olds. The main character is Rose Raventhorpe and her friend Orpheus It is about a secret society of butlers who are searching for clues of a murder. Some people think it was an ancient ghost hound that haunts the lane that the murder was on but Rose thinks it was human.
