Toad Delight
Morris Gleitzman
Cane toads are Public Enemy Number One to most Australians. Limpy the cane toad is on a quest to improve their image – and save his family from imminent destruction! When one of his relatives features on a TV cooking show, destined to star as the main ingredient, Limpy sets out to rescue him and ends up on camera himself. Can Limpy use his 15 minutes of fame to get humans to lay off the cane-toad squashing? Or will that be a recipe for disaster? A stirring story of bravery, sacrifice and prime-time warts-and-all adventure. Morris Gleitzman is the bestselling author of Two Weeks with the Queen, Bumface and Once, Now, Then and Soon.

This book is about a frog named Limpy, and this little frog is trying to spy on humans and trying to act like a human. I suggest this book to 6-13 years because its a funny little story about a little frog, and that's why I'm giving this book a 5 star. By a Secret Identity

I liked this book because the toads think that toad delight is frothy dribble. When toad got muddled up on the bicycle he was dribbling and he licked candy cane and dribble but he didn't know the nice taste was sugar cane so he made people lick his dribble.

I thought the book was a little bit humorous and a little bit sad in places. My favourite character was limpy whose leg had been run over by a truck but still carried on living and training hard to make his leg better which I think is a good lesson. If someone or something is pulling you down use your self esteem to pull you back up. Overall I quite liked this book.

This was an incredibly light-hearted, humourous tale, which teaches us to not judge a book by its cover, and that discrimination is never the way to go about life. Limpy the ambitious toad journeys far and wide to find his cousin, in a pursuit to prove that greatness is not limited to humans.
