When Great-Uncle Horace brings back lost and homeless animals from his travels around the globe, it falls to Zoe, and her mum, the zoo vet, to settle them into their new home. Zoe’s very good at this, because she can understand what they say and talk to them, too. But that’s a secret!
Puffins are Zoe’s favourite ever animal, so when Piper arrives at the Rescue Zoo, Zoe is very happy to help her settle in. But Piper is very picky! She doesn’t like her enclosure … or her burrow … or even her food! Can Zoe and Meep work out what is making Piper the puffin so picky, and come up with a plan to make the little puffin feel happy in her new home?

This book was a good book . I liked it as it was about animals and I love animals! I disliked it as they are very short books, so like I would like it if they were longer, or if they did books for older children. My favourite character is Zoe. These books take my interest as they remind me of myself, (not that I can talk to animals) but they are my favourite things EVER! I really do recommend you to read this book

It was a baby puffin who hatched out of his egg and learnt to fly. I liked waiting for the egg to hatch and wondering what was going to happen.

I love how Zoe's rescue zoo finds animals from the wild and brings them back to the zoo to be cared for. My favorite character is Meep the grey mouse lemur because he is really funny, cheeky and a lot of fun. I'm so happy and relieved that pipa managed to get into a safe home and make lots of friends.

I really loved this book because i love birds and all sorts of animals. It was sad in parts but I loved the ending. Meep was a bit rude to the puffin (who was called Piper) at first, but then Zoe told him to make friends with him and then they became really good friends

I loved it because it had a cute, baby puffin covered in oil that they had to save. It was so shy when it moved into its new enclosure, do you know why? You will have to read on to find out and make your imagination flourish!

I really really liked this book it’s a very good story! My favourite character in the story was Piper. Next time I go to the library I’m definitely looking for more Zoe’s rescue zoo books!
