Is a fun adventure story about a boy called Elliot and the Greek gods he meets. Elliot is a boy whose mum is very ill. Their farm is falling apart and they owe a lot of money. Mrs Porshley-Plum their neighbour is trying to take advantage of his mum and to get her to give her the house. Elliot is pretending that everything is fine at school but it is not. He is very scared that soon he will be found out and he will lose everything he cares about so he makes a wish to make everything okay again and goes to bed. When he wakes up the story starts properly. Something has happened but not quite what he wished for. A god called Virgo had fallen into their cowshed from Elysium where the gods live. She is in the house when he gets up. She is very funny because she thinks she is amazing. Some scenes between Elliot and Virgo are hilarious. They accidentally let out Prisoner 42 who is the god of death Thanatos. They need help to imprison him again and call on the King of the God Zeus to help them. But the gods have retired and are not keen to help… Zeus is not very god like anymore and the book makes fun of him. His horse Pegasus uses iGod to find the other gods to help. They are not keen. This is amusing because they wouldn’t have modern technology. I loved this book because it was funny and it was about mythology at the same time. The Stonehenge part was really humorous. The book would be great for children who like traditional tales and like to laugh when they are reading. I laughed lots.

My favourite part of the book is when ,Virgo lost her powers and had to destroy Thanatos without them . Thing that make me annoyed is that it could've added more detail and interesting plot twists.
