Night after night Elena, Matt, and Tima wake at exactly the same time, with no idea why. It’s messing them up and fracturing their lives . . . until they venture out into the dark and find each other. And then the sleepless trio realize their astounding power – they can speak any language; they can even communicate with animals.
But something is happening over on the industrial estate-something which is emitting sounds that only they can hear, and killing any winged thing that crosses its path.
There’s nobody to fight it but themselves, for only they can possibly understand it and what it means to do . . .
A new edge-of-your-seat series from award-winning author, Ali Sparkes, with huge appeal for both boys and girls. Fast-paced action adventure about contemporary children with mysterious powers, told with Ali’s classic humour and lightness of touch.

It was really good. I liked the bit where Elena plays her cornet. I would recommend it to my class (aged 10 & 11).

This is a good story for night time. I love guessing what will happen next and would recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book! Again, this was from a different person's point of view in each chapter. Elena, Matt and Tina all find out they have the ability to talk to animals, after they find each other because they always wake up at 1:34 am. Along with a vampire, they defeat a dark-light god. But is the vampire really good? I would recommend it because it is so mysterious, and has a twist.

This was amazing, I love how a boy who washes cars, a girl who plays the cornet and a girl who goes to a posh school become really close friends! This was a brilliant book and Ali Sparks is obviously an excellent author!

I liked this book because the characters don’t give up against the bad people. I liked the character Matt because even though he had family problems he was still very determined.

I loved the Shapeshifter books by Ali spark so though id give these a try. They haven't let me down. Really good and exciting. My favourite character was Spin, he was an evil vampire. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. I would definitely recommended it.

I loved this book! Spin was my favourite character, because of the funny way he liked to scare people. Night Speakers is a fictional book about 3 children and their special ability to communicate with animals. I would definitely recommend this to my friends!

Every night at 1:34 AM, Elena, Matt and Tima are woken up by a strange, ethereal melody. When they all meet each other, they soon find out that they can talk to animals, and have to work together if they want to stop the monster that's causing casualties in the town. There is only one way I can describe this book: unique. The plot's interesting, the characters are diverse and even after finishing it you'll be left with loads of questions.

It's a good book but it gets boring because of the word selections
