Cruel Kings and Mean Queens is a non -fiction book. This book interested me because I love learning about history (especially the horrible bits!)and I have watched the TV series and after that I started to read more facts about it. I would recommend this to someone else because it's got funny parts and gruesome parts (it goes in chronological order.)

Pictures were not the same as horrible histories, the writing was good. It was interesting.

I liked King Richard because he was pretty fancy. It interested me because we can learn about the deaths of cruel kings like King Henry VIII when he killed all his wives and did not care to those wives who were begging him that if they could live and not be dead. I would recommend this book to children between 3 to 12.

A very good book, it makes everything sounds horrible, but I think it makes this book more interesting. I recommend people who love royal people read this book.

This was a really interesting and funny look at the various kings and queens of Great Britain. I enjoyed learning about the superstitions and beliefs that were linked to monarchs in the old days, like people thought that they could be cured scrofula by touching Charles II!

I really really enjoyed this book. I love the series because it reveals everything - even those terrible tales that nobody talks about. This book covers all these monarchs that seem so perfect but had all these traits that no one likes. Not King Henry VIII, though. Everyone knows about his six marriages and how he treated them.

It was very entertaining and informative: I have learnt a lot of facts from this book that I hadn't learnt before. I would recommend the Horrible Histories books and series as a brilliant way to learn history.
