The book is about a boy called Eric also known as Cat in the story, and his big sister called Gwendoleyn who is a powerful witch, but Cat can't seem to do magic himself. The story is set in Coven Street and Chrestomanci Castle. I like the magic parts, especially the bit where Chrestomanci appears out of nowhere. My favourite character is Chrestomanci. The ending was exciting and unexpected, and I would recommend this book.
