I recently read "Moonlocket" by Peter Bunzl and I have to say, it's a fantastic follow-up to the first book in the series, "Cogheart". The book continues the adventures of Lily and Robert, this time focusing on a mysterious locket that holds the key to a long-buried secret. One of the things I loved about "Moonlocket" is how it expands on the world-building of the first book. We get to see more of the steampunk London that Bunzl has created, as well as meeting new characters who are just as interesting and memorable as the ones we met in "Cogheart". The plot is also cleverly crafted, with plenty of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. But what really makes "Moonlocket" stand out is the emotional depth of the story. Lily and Robert both face some tough challenges in this book, and seeing them overcome their fears and work together to solve the mystery is incredibly

This was a book that I was introduced to due to my Lamda Grade 3 peice. I very much enjoyed this adventure, mystery book especially Jack Door’s evil plot. I do think that the story dragged on a little at the end and it didn’t keep me intrigued for long.

Moonlocket is a brilliant book for children who love mystery stories [like me]. Full of curiousity, I set off reading this book by Peter Bunzl. I loved everything about it. I only started by reading the last two books in the series [Skycircus and Shadowsea] so it was a shock to me when I read Cogheart and Moonlocket and I found so much more information about Lily,Robert and all of their families. I could not believe Selena [Robert's mother] was related to Jack Door. I was as shocked as Robert and Lily were in the book. My favorite character was Lily because she is kind and thoughtful. She also has a mechanical heart - the Cogheart. I would definitely recommend it to children who love Enid Blyton stories too!

I just though it was the best book I have ever read

My favourite character was actually the villain. He was a criminal mastermind called the Jack of Diamonds. He is searching for the mysterious Moonlocket, hence the name of the book. Set in Victorian England with mechanical people, or mechs, Lily, Robert and Malkin the fox have to stay one step ahead before Jack plays his final, deadly card....

A great book even if it is quite difficult to follow.

In this they are being chased by a man who is Roberts uncle, he is also trying to find his mum, as his dad died in the last book, so I wonder how discovering that would feel. This book is fiction.
