The books were an instant hit and Roger went on to create many more Mr Men and Little Miss characters. What Roger really wanted was to make children laugh, which is probably why his own favourite character is Mr Silly.

This was a good book and was funny. I enjoyed it and so did my baby brother. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys mr men books. My favourite part was when mr busy took to long to get to the beach it was night time.

The children read these to themselves. I can hear them giggling as they read. The favourite part of the book was when Little Miss Scatterbrain tried to plough the pond. The vocabulary is challenging enough to keep the children interested, but not so difficult they don’t understand. The illustrations are great.
