I love the character Will because he helped to stop the fire spreading out, I also like Samuel Pepys, King Charles, Captain Wharton who helped to save the London.

Interesting history about London in 1666. Strangely, the baker's boy Will saved the day by helping the Watch (London's fire brigade) to stop the fire with the help of gunpowder.

It was a dangerous story as London was on fire. Will was very helpful because he helped get the soldiers to put out the fire. Will was brave when he lit the gunpowder. He saved his dad from being arrested too.

I didn’t like this book because it was more like a fact book than a story.

It was an exciting story. I was a bit worried about the fire because I don’t like fire, and I was glad that London was saved!

Very interesting and factual. Helped to explain the history of the great fire of London, for younger children to understand

I know a lot of history about the Great Fire of London. There was a little difference from the book to real life.

When Will Farriner wakes to the sound of crackling flames and the smell of smoke, he knows something is terribly wrong! This book is really sad because everyone was scared and in a hurry to leave ASAP although to quite happy that nobody died because of this! I would recommend this book to somebody who is not scared of fire!

This book is interesting as I have been to pudding lane where the fire started. It gives you lots of facts about what happened told by a little boy called Will who is a character in the story.
