From leading breakfast radio star Christian O’Connell comes a brilliant and laugh-out-loud story of an ordinary boy with an extraordinary secret radio show. (Broadcast from his shed.)

Meet Spike, aka Radio Boy: a new Adrian Mole on the radio for the internet generation. Spike’s your average awkward 11 year old, funny and cheeky and with a mum to reckon with. When he becomes the first presenter ever to be sacked from hospital radio, he decides to carry on from a makeshift studio in the garden shed, with the help of his best friends Artie and Holly, disguising his voice and going by the moniker Radio Boy. Week by week, word gets around and soon Spike is a star… if only people knew it was actually him. When Spike begins to believe his own hype, and goes too far with his mocking of the school headmaster, a hunt is launched for the mysterious Radio Boy. Can Spike remain anonymous? Will he get to marry the girl of his dreams, Katherine Hamilton? Will he become famous and popular? The answer to most of these questions is no…

I like the boys name spike , and how he presents his radio show from his dads garden shed, I like how spike changes the shed from a scary cobweb covered place into a fun and colourful radio studio where he is helped by all his friends who have there own jobs there

The book was ok but it had a little less adventure than I hoped. I liked the main character the best. I would not recommend it to someone else.

I loved this book. It was funny and the story was interesting. It was interesting to see how it all turned out for him at the end. I liked the lead character the best as he was my sort of age and it was good imagining if my life could be like his. I'm looking forward to reading Radio Boy 2

This book was so epic that I finished it in less than a day. It is about a kid called Spike Hughes and he is determined to start a radio show. He named it the “Secret Shed Show“. This book was hilariously amazing. The author is so creative because he used emotive language to hook me in. I think first person books are the best because you can really put yourself in their shoes and go through what they are experiencing.

I loved this book and am so sad to have finished it. Although I am also happy as it means that I can start a set of new, fresh pages of a completely new book. I’m exited to start my new book as I have already started it and it is very good. The book I was reading was called Radio Boy, my favourite person in the book was Holly as she represented a powerful, young girl and that is exactly what I like to reinforce in my readings.

It was quite a good book even though wouldn't normally go for it . This book was fictional and my favourite character was holly as helped Radio Boy. This book wasn't factual , it interested me as as the blurb was very interesting. I would maybe recommend this book to someone but it depends.
