It's for people that like school books i recommend to 5-7 year old its not the book older people would usually would read. At some points it is interesting its the usual story we all know as i said i would not recommend this to any 8 year old and above it goes up to a book standard i wouldn't say it was outstanding. If i had to buy this with my own money i wouldn't.

I like this book because the dragons go missing because they were captured by a man and woman and the dragonsitter goes and saves them from the evil people that captured them.

This is a fiction book. I thought it was an exciting and imaginary story. His uncle gave him a dragon, he was supposed to look after the baby dragon, but it ran away. It is suitable for 6-7 years old children. My favourite part was when the baby dragon flew off. I would recommend the book because it was thrilling.

This is about a boy called Eddie writing a letter to his uncle Morton. His uncle has two pet dragons that Eddie was looking after. The dragons got captured by two hunters. Eddie was trying to find the dragons and that was how he became a detective. He followed the footsteps of the dragons and rowed to Crumpet castle. He found the dragons in the dungeon of Crumpet Castle. The bigger dragon burnt down the bars and were able to set them free. They flew all the way home. Eddie wrote another letter to his uncle Morton and said he left his boat at Crumpet Castle because they flew home. They were all home happy except for Eddie’s mum, she was sad, stressed and worried because Eddie wasn’t there and needed to be at her wedding. They were able to fly to the wedding an hour late. They still got married. Eddie is my favourite character in the story because he found the dragons. I would recommend this book to somebody else because it is exciting how the dragons were found.

I really liked this book, because I like dragons and mystery, so it was great to have a book with those two things both mixed in! Although the mystery was solved very quickly, it was still puzzling at the beginning. Maybe the author could extend the mystery part a bit longer so that the reader can have time to work it out (but as the thief is a completely new character you wouldn't be able to work it out). I was shocked by Eddie's detective skills, but perhaps it was just luck as that was the newspaper the vicar had given him to do his painting on. I have three favourite parts: Mum and Gordon's wedding, Eddie working out who the dragon thief was and Eddie's attempt to rescue the dragons. I found the humour in this book extremely funny, and I already know my favourite funny part: At the wedding, Gran cries and then Emily cries too, because Mum said she couldn't have another chocolate mousse. But then Gordon does his speech and says thank you to Uncle Morton (who couldn't make it to the wedding) for introducing him to Mum. He also said to Eddie and Emily that he knows he can never replace their dad, but that he will try to be a good stepdad. So Emily says that a good stepdad would let her have another chocolate mousse! And Gordon says, "Maybe for breakfast." I found the humour in this book outstanding. My three favourite characters are Eddie, Ziggy and Arthur. I find that Mum always panics a lot, like she panicked about being late for her own wedding (and she was) and she panicked about preparing her own wedding. Emily just seems to nag at Mum loads and loads and annoys Eddie and gets on his nerves. Uncle Morton is a bit mysterious, because in the books I find he disappears quite a bit. And Gordon seems too crazy about Mum (yes, OK, they are husband and wife by the end of the book, but still...). I do not think Eddie likes this never-ending romance between Mum and Gordon and neither does Emily. I don't like it either, because Mum always goes on and on about Gordon to Eddie and Emily. That doesn't mean I hate the book though, I love it! It's just some of the characters I'm not so keen on. And I find that OK because all books have to have characters you don't like as much as the others! (But the characters in this story I ABSOLUTELY HATE is as you would expect, Terry and Gloria Crumpet.)

I enjoyed the bit where they had the wedding and when Mr Crumpet was dropped in the sea, because he was a thief and he stole the dragons. I liked the dragonsitter detective best.
