Roald Dahl: George's Marvellous Experiments
Quentin Blake, Jim Peacock, Michelle Porte Davies
George Kranky created his own Marvellous Medicine to deal with his grizzly old grunion of a Grandma. You definitely can’t do that at home (so don’t even try!), but here’s some amazing science that you can do!
From concocting home-made slimy snot to creating your own volcano, these fun experiments are all easily done, following simple step-by-step instructions and using everyday household objects.
Inspired by Roald Dahl’s terrific tale, this is the book for budding young scientists everywhere!

I didn't like the disgusting stuff he put in his potion, but it made me want to make my own potion.

It has SO COOL experiments to try out with objects at home. (Just try not to try it on your older relatives.)

I liked making lava for a volcano and putting mint sweets in a coke bottle to watch it explode :) We made white flowers change colour with food dye. “It was brilliant”

This book was full of science experiments. I had fun trying them with my mummy. My favourite experiment was making the cornflour gloop.

I was impressed by this strange story about the boy George and his inventions with his grandmother's medicine. I enjoyed the descriptions of these tricks, but I would never have done that in my life. But in excusing the boy, it is worth noting that the grandmother was quite unbearable. What prompted George to these adventures.
