On Planet Fruitcake
Anne Fine, Kate Aldous
This is a classic, funny school story from former Children’s Laureate Anne Fine. Philip has an incredible imagination, and when he lets it run riot in school one day it really gets his classmates thinking. Purple cows …brains in pots …a clever and beautiful chicken…What will they think of next? ""Fine has a rare genius for building a funny, enriching and moving story around the nuts and bolts of school life"". (The Times).

It was a bit confusing at the beginning. But I found it got more interesting how the main student started to think a lot about more things that happened a long time ago.

I really enjoyed reading this book! For people who haven't read it it is about a boy called Philip who suddenly has a wild imagination. I think that the author wrote this to inspire young kids to have a wild imagination like Philip!
