I think the concept is really cool and love it but it quickly falls off half way through until the second to last chapter. 3 Stars.

The story was fiction and I like George the best because she is daring and likes adventures( like me ) and she doesn't care what other people think about her, I also love her dog ,Timmy, although she isn't allowed to keep him. I would recommend it to someone else because it is about an adventure.

I liked it when they went on holiday and they had a bigger adventure than planned with George. They was looking fir bars of gold and when they found the, bad men threatened to kill timmy if they did not hand over the gold. Thankfully they was able to escape and tell the police, the evil men got arrested.

The person i liked best was Georg/Georgina because she is kind but can be fierce and loose her temper sometimes. She is adventurous and likes to be with her three cousins Julian,Dick and Anne but not forgetting her very own dog Timmy/Timothy. George has always wished of being a boy so everybody calls her George. She thought that she does not need friends at first but when she met her cousins she liked them. I would recommend it to children who like adventures and fantasy stories.

IT WAS AN AMAZING book because it fills you with excitement and pleasure for it and you want read more books like it.When George gets to know Annie dick and john she dosen’t like them calling her Georgina since she likes being a boy and when john offers her an ice cream she has such a smile on her face that the reader (like me)is happy for her.The person I am interested in most is Anna and George since they have peculiar personalities and is main characters really. I would recommend these books to people who love adventurous story’s.

A very ordinary book for the Famous Five series, with the four cousins (and don’t forget Timmy!!) exploring George’s island, when they hunt for treasure they heard about in an old legend, find it, and get trapped, and find some form of escape. It is good because there are twists in the plot, like when just after they find the treasure, the “evil men” trap them, some parts are tense, and there is lots of description. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure stories, and Enid Blyton.

Before I even opened the book I thought it was going to be adventure. Julian, Dick and Anne are thrilled to meet their cousin, Georgina. She is often bad-tempered and wants to be a boy, but she is very honest and adventerous. It doesn't take long before they are friends, and, before they know it, they're on a trial of the lost ingots! My favourite character is Anne who is my age and is very curious and caring. I would recommend the book to children 8+ as it was a bit harder to read.
