It is about Julian, Dick, George, Anne and Timmy who embark on an amazing adventure which includes a mental school master, a creepy old man with a peg leg (he's not a pirate), an over-boisterous dog and, of course, ghost trains. They go camping (clue's in the name) and end up helping a boy called Jock destroy his stepfather's plans and saving the world (or at least a small part of it). I would recommend this book to people who like mystery and adventure. And who are way too over-excited all the time.

It was very intresting and full of mystery.I really liked how the author created the atmosphere and I could imagine the pictures in my head.My favourite character was Anne as she very well organised and always tried to be brave even when she didn't want to. I would recommend this book.

Spook trains in the dead of night! And they seem to vanish into thin air - but where do they go? But discovery of an unusual underground tunnel system, and a secret train-service, has them puzzled.

I liked the bit where Anne was sitting down and steam came out of the ground and she thought it was a volcano.

Before I even opened the book I thought it was going to be adventure. It was about four children and a dog who went for a holiday to lonely moors. After some exploring and friend-making, the children know that there's something more than just old railway yard there. But will they get help in time? My favourite character is Anne who is my age and is very curious and caring. I would recommend the book to children 8+ as it was a bit harder to read.
