When the holiday starts, the five are planning to go to Kirrin island for a holiday. But uncle Quentin had to do some secret experiments. The whole island is George's. Uncle Quentin sent 18 flashes, and that means he is not OK. So the reason he was not OK was that he felt that someone else was there too. So George is eager to protect her father and island. At the end Jonson and Peters get in trouble because they wanted to destroy Quentin secret plans. Mr Curtin, was an evil guardian of Martin. When Mr Curtin broke his leg he had to go to the prison hospital. Martin had onged to escape and ran away. And wanted to live with the five.

The book was adventurous, mysterious and thrilling. I could not stop reading it. There are 5 main characters in the story - Julian, Dick, Anne, George and their dog Timothy. My favourite character is Julian. I would totally recommend it to my friends.

George is angry when her Father proposes to 'borrow' her Island for the Easter holidays, and go and live there in a temporary 'tower' he has had built . Not even the fact that it is all due to some important Scientific work he is performing, will content her; but will the holidays prove to be more eventful than the dull days George imagines, when the option of visiting Kirrin Island is impossible? Things take a turn when Uncle Quentin suspects a trespasser on the Island, and requests Timmy's company, George becomes aware of a hair-raising mystery evolving around her Island.

This book was fun to read and the adventure was amazing. The Famous Five are together for Easter and George´s father has to stay on George´s island to do his important work. I recommend this book to people who like to read adventure stories.
