Born to Dance (Dance Trilogy, Book 1)
Jean Ure
The first in a brand-new series about dancing, friendship and following your dreams from best-loved author Jean Ure, whose books are described by Jacqueline Wilson as “funny, funky, feisty – and fantastic reads!” When new girl Caitlyn arrives at Coombe House School Maddy is sure she must be a fellow ballet dancer; she certainly has all the grace and poise of a ballerina. So when Caitlyn denies it, Maddy isn’t convinced. But it isn’t until she comes across Caitlyn practising ballet in the gym that she realises there must be more to her story… Just what can it be? Maddy is determined to find out!

This book is a bit sad as the girl on the front of the book called Cindy is homeless so she goes to school for free as she has no money. Cindy wants to learn ballet but she doesn't have enough money for lessons. Her friend called Livi tries to teach her but as soon as she starts Cindy is really good at it and Livi doesn't know why.

My favourite character in the book is Caitlyn Hughes because at the start she is a very shy girl but at the end she builds up her confidence. I would recommend this book for anyone who has interest in ballet and building up their confidence. The book is about a girl named Maddy and she discovers that Caitlyn is a dancer too. She has a plan to get Caitlyn to do dance lessons and it ends up great!
