Old refurbished theatre, the Beryl, is re-opening. Days before opening
night, the ghost light – left on at night to appease the ghosts
of actors – is extinguished. Alice digs into the Beryl’s past,
sleuthing in a network of dark backstage corridors and cobwebby
storage rooms. Gradually, she starts to uncover the hundred-year-old

I thought that this book was great. It's a detective story about a theatre called the Beryl. Spooky things keep happening and Alice and Kevin have to find the culprit before the show starts. I like Alice's dad the best because once he gets a whiff of a story (he's a crime reporter) he won't stop until he finds it. I would recommend it to anyone who likes detective stories and ghost stories.

The Ghost Light is an amazing book it has an awesome theme about some people thinking that the theatre is being attacked by ghosts. They think the ghosts are going to ruin the show because the are trying to scare people to not do the show and they are really dangerous! Have fun reading.

Very mysterious and exciting- all the clues are there so the reader can try to solve the mystery before Alice does, but you probably won't! An interesting and clever plot, and entertaining with the annoying sidekick Kevin and Benji the graffiti artist. I liked how Alice refused to accept the idea of ghosts.
