Her discoveries of radium and polonium dramatically helped in the fight against cancer, and she went on to win the Nobel Prize for Physics! This moving book features stylish and quirky illustrations and extra facts at the back, including a biographical timeline with historical photos and a detailed profile of the scientist's life. Little People, BIG DREAMS is a bestselling biography series for kids that explores the lives of outstanding people, from designers and artists to scientists and activists. It's a wonderful book with lovely illustrations. There were difficult times in Marie's life which made me sad but she was very resilient and determined. Also, she inspired me to like science.

I thought this book was very good because it taught me things about Marie Curie that I didn't know. It interested me because my new class at school is named after Marie Curie so I wanted to find out why. I would recommend this book to children who like science because the book is about a famous scientist.
