It’s bad enough having a mum dippy enough to name you Owl, but when you’ve got a dad you’ve never met, a best friend who needs you more than ever, and a new boy at school giving you weird looks, there’s not a lot of room for much else.

So when Owl starts seeing strange frost patterns on her skin, she’s tempted to just burrow down under the duvet and forget all about it. Could her strange new powers be linked to her mysterious father? And what will happen when she enters the magical world of winter for the first time? A glittering story of frost and friendship, with writing full of magic and heart, A Girl Called Owl is a stunning debut about family, responsibility and the beauty of the natural world.

It was very good, but a bit long. My favourite character was Owl. It was a fictional book and I would recommend it.

I think the book was magical and would recommend it to others. My favourite character was the main character's best friend Mallory and the main character herself Owl aswell as Alberic a very mysterious boy in the whole story. The thing that interested me was how Owl and her friends saved the world.

This was a very interesting fiction book. It showed other characters from other books in a different light. I would recommend this book to anyone above 8 years old. That is why I rate this book 5 out 5.

This is the best book on earth!! A girl called owl is as far from normality as possible. When she finds ice patterns appear on her skin, a boy who can blow leaves everywhere and not knowing who her father is, this must be linked to all the answers. But it’s going to be a life changing fight. This book is a magical rollercoaster and it’s so not a childish magic! It’s full of family and friendships. It’s a book that will make you laugh and cry. My favourite characters were Owl, Alberic, Mallory and most of the fae creatures ! I definitely give this book a 5/5 more is it were possible!! And I recommend this book to 12+.

Owl; a girl who thought she was a normal girl, living a normal life. A girl who has powers. A girl who has Jack Frost as a Father. Owl's mother had visited the fay world before, her mother had told her that many times. But Owl didn't believe her. Until she found out about her powers, and made friends with a boy called Alberic. Read it, ad see what you think. It's amazing isn't it!

When Owl discovers strange frost patterns on her skin, she sets out on a mission to find who her father is. When she finds this information from her mum's book, she challenges herself to find him. But along the way, she discovers her friend from school was spying on her and gathering information about her unwillingly for his father, The Earl of October. Owl is drawn to an ugly world of magic. Will she find her father? I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a magical read in a fantasy world. I loved the mystery and adventure about it. I found it hard to put the book down!

It starts really interesting then gets a bit boring but luckily at the end of the book it got really interesting.

I found it interesting that she went on an adventure to find out who her dad was and found out it was Jack Frost. When her mum said to her in stories when she was little that Jack Frost was her father but never believed her then realised the truth.
