I enjoyed this book. My favourite character was Polly because she saved all her friends and her mum and dad from the pirates. It was easy to read so I read it in a very short time. I think girls and boys would both enjoy this story.

I liked Polly because she was a pirate and because she didn't tell her mummy and daddy that her hobby was being a pirate.

I thought this was an exciting story. When Polly and her family were sent away from the pirate ship to live a normal human life, the other pirates came back and tried to attack them.

The reason why I liked this book: Polly was very good at fighting, she was brave, she had only one weapon and the others had many more. The pirates wanted to gobble the teachers and children and Polly fought to stop them. (at least the pirates did not eat them)
