A comic caper that will have you laughing all the way to the bank from John Bush and Korky Paul. Perfect for children learning to read.

Mr Crocodile needs a job. So says Mrs Crocodile. But what to do? Luckily, Mr. Crocodile is a croc with imagination. He could be a soccer star – Mr Soccerdile has a nice ring to it. Or perhaps a cook – Mr Cookodile sounds splendid. But what would be even easier for a lazy croc would be to turn into Mr Crookodile and rob a bank! However, despite a cunning disguise, Mr. Crocodile’s plans start to unravel in a very funny way… The Reading Ladder series helps children to enjoy learning to read. It features well-loved authors, classic characters and favourite topics, so that children will find something to excite and engage them in every title they pick up. It’s the first step towards a lasting love of reading. Level 2 Reading Ladder titles are perfect for readers who are growing in confidence and are beginning to enjoy longer stories. • Clear type • Up to 8 lines per page • Bright, appealing pictures for added interest • A variety of sentence structures • A wider range of vocabulary • Strong themes and characters to discuss All Reading Ladder titles are developed with a leading literacy consultant, making them perfect for use in schools and for parents keen to support their children’s reading. My favourite character was Mr Crookodile. I had this story a long time ago with Mummy, that’s why I chose it again - I can remember reading it but I’m definitely better at reading it now.

The crocodile was trying to rob a bank, which is very naughty, so I do not recommend this book.

I didn't like this because he didn't help cook and clean.

I gave it 4 because I thought it was too long and I was tired at the end. I liked the story. My favourite bit was when his wife kept saying he wouldn’t be able to do all the jobs he had thought of and the only one she thought was good he went off because he didn’t want to do the washing up while his wife did the cooking.

When I first got this book, I thought it would be scary, but it turned out it wasn't.
