‘A true genius . . . Roald Dahl is my hero’ – David Walliams

WARNING: DO NOT try to make George’s Marvellous Medicine yourselves at home. It could be dangerous…

George Kranky’s Grandma is a miserable grouch. George really hates that horrid old witchy woman. One Saturday morning, George is in charge of giving Grandma her medicine. So-ho! Ah-ha! Ho-hum! George knows exactly what to do. A magic medicine it will be! One that will either cure her completely of her horrible grouchiness . . . or blow off the top of her head! Roald Dahl is the world’s NUMBER ONE storyteller! Now you can listen to GEORGE’S MARVELLOUS MEDICINE and other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices, including Kate Winslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry – plus there are added squelchy soundeffects from Pinewood Studios!

George was my favourite character, he made fantastic medicines. I liked medicine 4 the most, because it made the grumpy grandma very small. I would recommend this book for you to read if you like magic.

This is such a funny book to read. It was about George making some funny broth like medicine using garage available ingredients to feed his grandma who was mistreating him. Definitely recommend it to everyone

This is the second time I have read this book because it was recommended at school and it was our guided reading book. My favourite part is when the ridiculously tiny hen pops up.

Really interactive and real. If you had a mean grandma that only cares about herself I would certainly do the same thing that George did. That being said, I gave this book a five star rating!

This was a classsic Roal Dahl tale, a young George, hates his evil Grandma and is slowly trying to change (kill her) with a cocktail of hazardous chemicals found in every room of his house! It’s quite negative, being set many decades ago and the language isn’t very clean either! It could be modernised as many young children love these stories
