This page-turner of a book is a fascinating tale set in Victorian England about a girl called Lily, who with the help of friends discovers her past. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys adventure or mystery fiction books or has read and liked Philip Pullman’s book, Clockwork (aka All Wound Up).

i thought this book was very good, I rate it 5/5. I would not recommend reading other books in this series before reading this book- like I did, as it gives too much away! My favourite person was Robert because even though he had it tough he still helped Lily massively. My favourite part was when John was talking to Robert at the end. I would definitely recommend!

I enjoyed the adventerous book and will probably enjoy the others aswell. I hope others would enjoy the book too. If it was fiction, my favourite character would probably be Lily as her never-ending mind might always lead her to another adventure. If it was factual, it interested me because maybe a child's thoughts could actually solve the unpredictable. I'd recommend the book to anyone who loves adventerous books.

I thought this was a wondrously exciting book . There a lots of twists and you never know what will happen next. My favourite character was Anna. She is so.... interesting and funny . I 100% recommend this to anyone who likes exciting stories. You do have to bare with cliff hangers though.
